DIY Personalized Journal

This is a great DIY project that makes it easy to personalize a notebook for journaling or note taking. Make one for yourself, as a gift, for a birthday, Easter or Mother’s Day! But be warned: these can be addicting to make! Once you start making them, you’ll realize these beauties are just as fabulous as their cover! You’ll see how useful and helpful they are!

Give Yourself a 10!

Give Yourself a 10!

It is a fresh new year! I love beginnings. (I love middles and endings too, but that is another time!) I love blank calendars waiting to be filled. I love all the potential energy that is stored in a new year. A new year is like the world after a fresh, deep snow: it is clean, unblemished and full of peace and promises. I know that yesterday, today and tomorrow have the exact same minutes and seconds as any day of December’s, but there is a freshness to a day in January just due to the fact that we have turned the page to a brand new year. And although I completely and utterly abhor January with its dull drum grey skies and frosty winds that bite, it is lucky enough to be the first month of the year.

Christmas Girlfriend Cookies in a Jar

During this busy time of year, I think every woman needs to make time for girlfriends. I held a Christmas Cookies with the Chicas event last night. I invited friends from church and we just sat, talked, and ate homemade cookies! Only four ladies were able to attend due to the craziness of the season, but it was almost better that way because I was able to take the time and really chat with my ladies. I gave these little pint sized cookie jars as favors. Give your girlfriends the gift of no fuss Christmas cookies. Make a few of these for your favorite girlfriends and take some time for girlchat.
