Edible Easter Nests and Place Card Settings

Submitted by Annie on March 12, 2010 – 11:53 am2 Comments

I found this crazy edible Easter grass! It is like squished cotton candy – so basically sugar with a touch of flavoring.  What I loved about it was that it was perfectly wound into a small nest shape! Right out of the bag, there was this perfect little nest waiting, no begging,  for a few eggs to occupy it.  I put a couple eggs from my regular Easter egg hunt collection in it and placed it on my vintage scale for now. But later, I’m going to place it on a plate and place a few chocolate eggs  in it! A cute and yummy centerpiece.

Or even better, use it as a place card setting for each guest at Easter! Do this by placing a small nest on a bread plate at each place setting. Then add a monogrammed egg for each guest to the nests!

I found my candy grass at Walmart, but you can also buy it online here and here.   Here and here are some of my favorite personalized chocolate eggs that I think would look fabulous at place card “nest” settings!
