Party for a Pixie Princess
This whimsical celebration is so No Fuss, you’ll feel like you were sprinkled with pixie dust! Pastel tutus, butterfly wings, and pixie-sized cupcakes are just the beginning. But no worries. No Fuss Fabulous is whisking you away to a fairytale where little girls’ dreams come true without the pixie-parent losing precious sanity!

Pictured here: Oh-so-easy edible pixie wands! Take a store bought flower shaped cookie, twist your favorite gumdrops into the center, and then insert a cooking stick into the back of the gumdrop. No Fuss Fabulous Tip: If you leave the wands out overnight, the gumdrops will harden making the wands much more durable for pint-sized pixies.
If there is only one idea you take from this precious Pixie Princess Party – make it these adorable tutus. They are memorable, easy, and make photo-op perfection! The little girls will love them, the parents will pass out, and you will have photos of it all! If you are a quick learner and want a simple no sew project, click here for a demo we found on youtube. Or if you just want the effect without lifting a finger, order tutus from one of our favorite Etsy shops, The Tutu Fairy. The Tutu Fairy sells custom Birthday Party Tutu Packs at a discounted price. Sizes newborn to seven – and you can even mix and match colors. Now that’s No Fuss Fabulous! See below photos for our tutus in precious pixie action!
A pair of pixie wings and marabou crown separate the birthday girl from all her pixie pals. You can find them both at Tutu Girl. Or purchase a complete custom pixie outfit from Etsy shop A Fairy Wings Lullaby.
And what about the little boys? Tutus simply wouldn’t do. We transformed our juniors into miniature frog princes! Find adorable frog headbands for under five dollars here! We also found this adorable Martha Stewart frog-in-a-box that could easily be used as a place setting or favor for the little gentlemen. Click here for the printable downloads and a video how-to.

How would your little birthday pixie survive without her pixie dust? For our little Pixie Princess Party, we took miniature clear baggies filled them with pink cake decorating sprinkles and closed them with a printed out pixie dust seal. If you don’t want the work of printing your own pixie seals for your pixie dust purses, FineStationary.com has an adorable Tiny Magic Wand Label that you can customize with your child’s name and own pixie dust message here. Absolutely No Fuss Fabulous!
Give each little pixie her own pre-frosted cupcake and let them sprinkle it with their “pixie dust.” The more you pixie dust, the better it will taste! You can find sprinkles in every color over the rainbow here. The flower lily boxes pictured are by Martha Stewart Celebrations. You can make them with her Tissue Paper Flower Favor kit here (too easy) or (even easier) purchase the favor boxes pictured premade like we did at your local Walmart or Michael’s.
Pixie-sized portions are best for tiny Princesses. We made heart-shaped peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwiches using thin sliced bread (too easy) and then cut them with cookie cutters. No Fuss Fabulous tip: Put some sprinkles inside the peanut butter sandwiches. The little girls will love it!!! The heart shape and sprinkle-insides change the everyday sandwich from ordinary to extraordinary in under a minute!
And last but certainly not least – the invitation. Invitations are the first impression of any celebration. You will want your Pixie Princess Party invitation to be magical. We found the cutest pixie designs at FineStationary.com. Here’s the link to our favorite pixie designs!!!
Below is the poem we used for our No Fuss Fabulous Pixie Princess Party invites! Feel free to use it!
Pixies, pixies, did you hear?
Sarah is turning one this year!
You’ll dance, you’ll eat, and you’ll have sweet fun
- you’ll be a pixie before it’s all done.
Girls, wear you pixie best, a leotard will do.
Your tutu and accessories await you.
Little boys, no worries come in your best.
The pixie mother will do the rest.
The party is Thursday at five, please say you’ll fly by.
Sarah’s pixie-parents await your reply!
Note: A portion of the above poem was found on the internet from an anonymous source! If you know who wrote it, please email us so that we can give credit where credit is due!

I LOVE the tutus! What a great idea for little girls.
I was thinking the pixie dust was glitter, but SPRINKLES that little ones can eat is soooo much better! Love it!
Cute party, cute girl, cute idea – Thanks for posting it!
Love it! This has given me so many ideas for my five year old daughter’s party!
“No Fuss Fabulous” is a great website for young mothers! These ideas are exciting, awe-inspiring and we young mothers look as though we have slaved over every detail! What wonderful ideas… thank you for point young mothers in an elegant and easy direction!
It doesn’t surprise me at all that you have a fabulous website about throwing parties and such because you throw the BEST parties. Every Halloween I think about the murder mystery you guys did and how much fun it was. I love it and I hope it wins the Martha Stewart contest!
I am copying this party for my daughter one day!
As a father with absolutely no creative ability, I can speak that the tutus were easy to make. My wife showed me how to do it and gave me the materials to work on while I watched TV. I made two tutus to help out for the party while doing something else. So FYI to anyone reading this, it’s easy enough for a man to do.
Are you SERIOUS!!!??? This is the cutest little pixie party EVER!! I just might have to do this for my little one who is turning 3!! These are awesome ideas — thanks SO MUCH for the inspiration! This is a FABULOUS-O website! I can’t wait to see more!
I’m glad we could help. Let us know how it goes!
When I saw those butter flower cookies I was jumping in excitement!! I had made some of those a LONG time ago and had sort of forgotten exactly how to do them! I am going to start working on my niece’s 1st birthday and those butter cookies are the inspiration for the party. This is perfect. And now after looking at those tutu’s I might have to make those too. Thanks for sharing.
