Deck the Halls with Garlands Galore!

It is time to deck the halls! And the best way to start is with a holiday garland. There are a plethora of garlands and the possibilities are endless. Garlands are no longer limited to just the staircase or fireplace; you can hang them in any entry or doorway, above your stove, hanging vertically down any space,
or to frame a window with holiday splendor!
These festive holiday decorations can take form in any style from modern to country.
We decided to make a garland we call: Citrus and Snow. It is a simple and fresh design is made of clementines, ribbon and snowflake ornaments. Just take a large needle, thread the ribbon and then pierce the clementines through the navel and out the other side. Tie an snowflake a few inches away and then repeat the process for your desired length!
Another garland idea that we just love and have seen in many places, is the pom-pom garland.
This garland is easy for older kids and younger children can help by selecting the colors to thread. Thread a thick quilting needle with thin ribbon or thread. This needle doesn’t have to be too sharp, just as long as it can pierce the pom-poms. Then have fun threading the pom-poms through the middle of each pom-pom. Gently pull each pom-pom into desired position. We have seen pom-poms stacked together and pom-poms separated by ribbon. Make a pattern or just thread spontaneously like we did! Put on a holiday movie and enjoy!
This garland is from one of my creative heroes, Amanda Blake Soule author of The Creative Family. It is a great book for any type of family!
