Ladies, you know how I love easy. I LOVE easy. I just {heart} easy. If something is easy, sign me up. So when my adorable little neighbor brought me this adorable banana bag filled with a little love-loaf of banana bread, I thought I must share.

For simple delivery and packaging of banana bread, my neighbor smartly purchases the bag of bananas at her local Albertson’s or Tom Thumb, she then bakes the bread using the bananas and then places the fresh loaf inside the banana bag! Why didn’t I think of this?!?!?! It’s brilliant. Not only is it an easy time and cost saving tip, but I never realized how cute the banana bags were to boot!

Below is my family’s Banana Nut Bread Recipe. It’s a favorite of mine.

Banana Nut Bread
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 cups mashed bananas
2 tsp. lemon juice
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions: cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat. Add bananas, milk, and lemon juice. Sift dry ingredients and stir into mixture. Add nuts. Bake in well greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees in 8X4X3 inch pan for one hour. Smaller pans will take shorter baking time. Insert pick in center to check for doneness.
